Duties and Responsibilities
Tutors will provide constructive learning opportunities for the entirety of the tutoring session, preventing idle time.
Tutors will read background information on each student including Psycho-educational testing, tutoring plans, intake forms, and other information in the cumulative Equip file in order to tailor tutoring to meet each student's needs.
Tutors will write a tutoring plan for each student; they will refer to the plan when planning each session. Individual instruction is the responsibility of the tutor.
Tutors will collaborate with classroom teachers to help EQUIP students.
Communicate with students and parents.
Tutors will work to remediate learning problems by using strategies and alternative programs.
