Finance Analytics & Assurance is a team of finance professionals, CPAs, and business intelligence developers equipped to help maximize the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of finance and accounting processes and reports. This team also supports the interests of Finance business units by providing business and risk insights into the impacts of client launches and platform changes. The Finance Analytics & Assurance team helps build confidence in the financials, enhance efficiency, and in partnership with all teams provides high quality engagement across all aspects of the business.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with processes to ensure all revenue is accurately captured across all clients and systems in the Americas channel. This position will also assist with performing data validations, maintaining Finance owned system configurations, preparing financial reconciliations, helping to communicate operational changes, and providing financial/business analysis to support to the various customers of the Finance department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to other Finance teams to ensure successful implementation of new program launches and program changes
Monitor the configuration, testing, and processing of transactions through financial systems
Aid in the documentation of processes in compliance with various audit and control requirements and ensure those processes are operationalized
Collaborate with peers to manage priorities and coordinate efforts with a focus on maintaining partnerships with teams throughout Finance
Create/manage critical business reporting tools and turn data into accurate/relevant information with limited direction
Ad Hoc research and analysis to support Finance business units
Enhance process efficiency and accuracy through process improvement or automation
Participate in the accounting and reconciliation of various receivables, liabilities, revenues, and claims related to the billing activity of the company
Compile and present consistent and accurate financial reporting to management
Assist in supporting management through financial analysis and modeling
What you will bring to the team:
Familiarity with accounting systems and data stores
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Experience with large data sets (SQL experience is a plus)
Strong Microsoft Excel skills - ability to work with complex spreadsheets and construct/deconstruct complex formulas
Self-motivated individual having the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet objectives in an environment of ambiguity
Capable of engaging with multiple concurrent projects
Likes to investigate and solve issues
Strong analytic/critical thinking skills, organization skills, prioritization skills, documentation, and communication skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
Bachelor's Degree in related field Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Professional individual with a strong work ethic and is a demonstrated team player
Proven ability to work well with various functional teams
