Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and support interior design assignments with other architects, interiors, and other personnel within our design studio.
  • Compile data, perform design computations and prepare plans and renderings.
  • Maintain library, create finish boards, order samples, develop furniture specifications and furniture specification books, create final project finish record books, meet with sales representatives and create renderings.
  • Assist in project finish and color selection, interior spatial design, and document coordination from schematic design through construction documents.
  • Compile construction documents such as material specifications, furniture specifications, millwork, and interior detailing.
  • Coordinate drawings with other disciplines. Assist with internal furniture and space planning.
  • Independently performs most assignments as to general results expected.
  • May supervise or coordinate work of interns, technicians, or other professionals on projects.
  • Usually has several ongoing, concurrent assignments and checks in with manager regularly.
  • Requires individual to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of a major project or a total project of moderate scope and may include development of a specialty in a specific technical area, in design, or in project administration.
  • May require checking the work of others. Individuals at this level must use their personal work plans to carry out assignments, including revisions to accelerate or slow up a project when needed.
  • Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Priority Setting: Spends his/her time and the time of others on what's important.
  • Creativity: Comes up with a lot of new and unique ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design/Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of job-related design experience required.
  • Professional registration is required.
  • Previous experience in Work Place/ commercial interior design, preferably within an architectural firm, is required.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Lumion, and other modeling software such as Grasshopper and Rhino.
