What You'll Do:

Payroll and Benefits: Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing utilizing Kronos and "Bid to Win" timekeeping. Administer FMLA and paid/unpaid leave. Assist existing and new employees with benefit changes/elections.

Employment Processing: Responsible for the pre-employment and onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling pre-employment physicals, submitting background checks, submitting offers for approval, and creating and maintaining the electronic employment file with the required documentation.

Maintain Compliance: Save all electronic files from the onboarding system to electronic files, safety, and health physical submittals, and maintain files in compliance with Vulcan's records retention practices.

Additional Responsibilities: Administer service award program, provide on-the-ground HR support, schedule new hire training, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. 3 years of experience in an HR administrative or equivalent position is preferred.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Must display general knowledge of labor and employment practices, including but not limited to EEO, FLSA, and OFCCP.

Integrity and Decision-Making. Must display the highest commitment to ethical decision-making and integrity.

Technology Skills. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Drive, Scheduling Calendars, and Emails). Prior experience with Taleo, PeopleSoft/Oracle, and Kronos software is preferred.
