Job Description

ENSCO Inc, located in Springfield Virginia, is looking for a Software Engineering Intern in testing to join our software engineering group in the Rail Division. The ideal intern will have strong passion for testing and validating UI/UX design and implement programs for Data Driven and Behavior Driven Testing.

ENSCO's Rail Division designs, develops, and manufactures precision, high-speed, real-time vehicle, and
track inspection systems for the national and international railway market. The Rail Division has an opening for a motivated, self-starting Software Engineering Intern with an interest in learning the field of software design, development, and testing. This position offers a chance to enhance the educational experience by working in a team of engineers engaged in projects to design and deliver software products for real-time and offline review systems.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Participate in the development of software utilities and products.
- Help prepare testing of software
- Use Test Record tools to assist in Data Driven and Behavior driven testing
- Participate in the testing of systems for validation and verification of design
- Help the Software Engineering Team with Test Driven Development

Qualifications Required (Skills)

* Currently pursuing a Computer Science major or equivalent with a minimum of 1-year relevant (academic) experience
* Ability to develop on C++.
* Experience in Systems programming with A/D, counter timer boards or similar hardware
* Exposure to front end interaction with MySQL databases, C#, QT
* Experience in scripting languages such as bash, PowerShell
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
