Rework Specialist

Reports to:

Supervisor

Job Summary:

Packages, Assembles and Reworks product. Use motorized industrial equipment to transport and locate materials; pick and put-away product; replenish floor stock locations. Use PC and RF Scanner to make systematic transactions.

Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)

  • Follow process and use tools accordingly to correctly pack, assemble or rework parts

  • Lift and move empty pallets (utilizing safe lifting techniques with assistance if needed)

  • Participate in work center set-ups, changeovers and clean ups

  • Label boxes and prepare for general work

  • Completion of running SAP reports to ensure inventory is accurate in rebox locations

  • Verification of unit counts

  • Maintain accurate logs or other required documentation depending on the job task being performed.

  • Follow documented procedures with accuracy.

  • Replenish floor stock locations.

  • Stock product into bins and carton flow racking

  • Identify and document location discrepancies

  • Participate in department meetings and projects

  • Operate within standard operating procedures

  • Operate motorized equipment such as stock pickers, Dock stockers.

  • Perform daily checks of equipment prior to operating equipment.

  • Use of hand - held or truck mounted radio frequency (RF) scanners and PC.

  • Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area

  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines

  • Timely and regular attendance

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Good performance and safety records

  • Willing to work overtime as required

  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to identify and differentiate part numbers

  • Moderate computer skills

  • Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain license

  • Ability to use Radio Frequency ( RF ) scanners

  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; bend; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach, push, pull and lift with hands and arms.

Education or experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
