PRIMARY PURPOSE: To coordinate renewal business pricing process, identify program trends impacting renewals and assist with new business pricing as requested; to design and price renewal of business; to provide support to operational directors, program and office managers in renewal development; to provide support for program implementations and department initiatives; and to review contracts and provide billing instructions to billing group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Designs and prices new clients and prospective new business/rounding opportunities as assigned.
  2. Assists in the design and pricing of client renewals; supports operations in renewal development.
  3. Works closely with other departments as appropriate; communicates often with program managers, operations, managers, managing departments and legal department.
  4. Assists program implementations.
  5. Generates ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by management.
  6. Compiles and analyzes financial data and makes recommendations for improved data capturing and analytics.
  7. Assists in evaluation, development and enhancement of various pricing models.
  8. Provides superior customer service and support to business/management strategies.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  3. Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred. Major in business field preferred. Each year of experience beyond the requirement equates to one (1) year of post secondary education.

Experience
Six (6) years financial analysis experience required with claims management experience preferred. MS/MA degree may substitute for three (3) years of experience.

  • Knowledge of claims management in workers' compensation, liability and disability business lines
  • Good oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work in a team environment
